Israel’s New Government: What to Expect from Netanyahu's Coalition with the Ultra-Orthodox and Religious Right

Israel’s new government has been sworn in and it seems that the electoral crisis of the last four years has come to an end. The last election saw the rise of the National Religious Party and the two ultra-Orthodox parties and their representatives are expected to hold key positions in the new cabinet.

Join Israel Democracy Institute President Yohanan Plesner and Shlomit Ravitsky Tur-Paz, Director of IDI’s Joan and Irwin Jacobs Center for Shared Society, in conversation with Dr. Jesse Ferris, Vice President of Strategy, as they analyze what led to this election result and what it may mean for Israel’s future.

Condolences to JFN’s CEO

Baruch Dayan Ha'emet

It is with great sadness that we share with you that JFN CEO Andrés Spokoiny's mother, Aida Zuzenberg, passed away Sunday night in Argentina. Shiva is being observed in Argentina. Donations in her memory may be made to Fundacion Tzedaka in Argentina or to Jewish Funders Network. Condolences may be sent to the JFN New York Office at 150 West 30th Street, Suite 900, New York, NY 10001.

May God comfort Andrés and his family along with the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

The Gimprich Family Foundation Announces New Israel Representative

The Gimprich Family Foundation is pleased to announce the hiring of Tamara Klinger-Levi as its new Israel representative. Klinger-Levi succeeds Carol Goldgeier, who is stepping down after 24 years of dedicated service to the Gimprich Family Foundation.

Tamara will support the Gimprich Family Foundation's vision of a Jewish State of Israel committed to religious pluralism, democratic values, and respect for the rights of all its residents.
