Are Jewish Organizations Great Places to Work? Results from the Second Annual Employee Engagement Survey

Jewish nonprofits are not yet the leading places to work; however, there is an increased recognition of this challenge and the need to address it.

This report presents findings of the second annual survey of employees of American Jewish nonprofits conducted by Leading Edge

The report notes five areas where major improvements are possible for the field:

  1. managing performance
  2. ensuring adequate people resources
  3. promoting advancement and retention
  4. collaborating organization-wide
  5. establishing cultures of transparency

A total of 4,470 employees across 68 Jewish organizations participated, including 31 organizations who took the survey for the second year in a row.
