Introducing our 2024 Conference Co-Chairs!

Leora Propper

Since 2018, Leora has led the Susan and Dan Propper Family Philanthropy, which is focused on two main domains: advancing social mobility via education and promoting liberal democracy. Leora is also a member of the board of the Propper family investment office, which she established and directed for almost a decade. Prior to that Leora held senior management roles, the last one head of corporate staff at Direct Insurance - Financial Investments.

As part of her current role, Leora is the chairwoman of ‘Ofanim’ and a member of the board of both ‘Yeladim’ and ‘Appleseeds’. Leora also serves as co-chair of the Young Funders’ Forum of JFN Israel and is a member of the steering committee of the lay leadership initiative at Joint - Elka.

Leora is a member of the Israeli bar association and holds a LL.B in Law, a BA in Business Administration from Reichman university and a EMA in Change from INSEAD university.

Stephen Bronfman

Stephen Bronfman is the third generation of a Montreal family to be a leader in philanthropy and business. At Claridge he has spent more than two decades investing in growing companies, and today is increasingly focused on aligning investment goals with his determination to address the climate crisis. His family foundation supports a wide range of civic, cultural and environmental causes. Stephen was the first major philanthropist in Canada to fund climate action and has been a board member of the David Suzuki Foundation for more than 30 years.

Within the Jewish community he has been a long-time leader of Federation CJA and serves on the board of the Jewish Community Foundation of Montreal. Last year, together with his sister, Ellen Bronfman Hauptman, he made a transformational gift to support the process of greening Birthright Israel and integrating environmental education into its core mission. He is committed to catalyzing both the Jewish community and the State of Israel.
