Join CANVAS, the Jewish arts and culture funding collaborative incubated at JFN, as we celebrate and honor the opening of "Dwelling in a Time of Plagues." The program will feature short talks by the following participating artists and authors: Julie Weitz, Tal Beery, Olivia Guterson, Mike Wirth, Hillel Smith, Maya Ciarrocchi, Bareket Kezwer, Rebecca Soffer, Moriel Rothman-Zecher, and Sarah Blake.
"Dwelling in a Time of Plagues" is a Jewish creative response to real-world plagues of our time. Collectively, the commissions in this constellation of art projects around North America grapple with contemporary crises: the global pandemic, institutional racism, xenophobia, ageism, forced isolation, and the climate crisis.
