As Israel faces challenges on multiple fronts, this briefing will offer a comprehensive look at both the immediate challenges and needs in the North, as well as the rebuilding efforts in the South. The first part of this session will spotlight the North: In recent weeks, there has been a significant escalation with Hezbollah that could possibly lead to a multi-front war. As of now, the return of more than 60,000 displaced residents of the region is not in sight, and the ongoing damage to communities in the north is enormous. We will explore the challenges facing the region, the government’s response, immediate and long-term needs, and discuss potential philanthropic actions. The second part of this session will spotlight the South: Representatives from 'Tkuma' will present an overview of their objectives, budget, and key initiatives and explore potential avenues for philanthropic collaboration." *The ‘Tkuma’ Directorate is the new government entity charged with rebuilding the Gaza Border communities, zero-seven kilometers from the border, with a five-year plan and an approved 19-billion-shekel budget. Speakers: Sigal Yaniv Feller, Executive Director, JFN Israel Anat Danis, Head of Philanthropy, Israel Rises Igal Gurevich, Deputy Director General for Strategy and Partnerships, Tkuma Directorate Naomi Reem Tarshish, Senior Head of Cross-Sectional Partnerships, Tkuma Directorate *Q&A sessions will follow each presentation *The meeting will be held in English
