Author, former Harvard professor, and founder of the think tank Populace, Dr. Todd Rose  believes we humans are hardwired and socially driven to draw and act on flawed conclusions about the people around us. In his book, Collective Illusions , he examines how conformity bias leads us to misperceive the views of others, and misunderstand why we often feel compelled to adjust our own views to better align with those of others — often to our own detriment.
