Family foundations in the UK play a crucial role in giving back to society, according to the Family Foundation Giving Trends 2011 report. Total giving from foundations grew 27% in the past five years, outpacing corporate and public giving, making them a serious area of interest and potential in the philanthropic sector. The report shares models and best practices of family foundations in the hopes to encourage the support for and creation of more family foundations.
