Families and guardians of people with special needs and disabilities face unique hurdles in finding appropriate care for their loved ones. In Israel, there is a growing consensus to shift from multiple, small, independent agencies that provide care facilities, treatment options, suitable therapies and family education towards a more comprehensive and integrated approach. The study maps 19 initiatives in Israel, sharing trends and emerging models, and offering recommendations to develop a service that would address a broad range of disabilities and service methods.
