JFN is delighted to welcome Mara Silvers, our new Vice President of Programs, who will help us shape and improve our programming and conferences.
Prior to joining JFN, Mara worked for five years at The Jewish Federations of North America, most recently as the Managing Director of Program & Event Operations, responsible for the strategy and execution of all programs and conferences. Before joining the Jewish communal world, she spent 15 years in luxury retail at both Coach and Tiffany & Co., working in areas that included global marketing and strategy, brand partnerships, and creative production.
Mara has a long history as a volunteer leader in the Jewish community as well, working as a youth director at several synagogues over the years, and is a current board member of the Syracuse Hillel, where she is also an alum. Mara lives on Long Island with her husband.
"We are really excited to start working with Mara," said JFN President and CEO Andres Spokoiny. "She brings a wealth of experience in both corporate and nonprofit settings and has a great knowledge of the Jewish communal space. As the world of conferences and convenings gets transformed, we will reimagine together our conferences and other events to continue providing the best opportunities for learning and networking to our members."
