Over the last few months and as a result of the pandemic, we have witnessed some significant collaborations take shape within the philanthropic community. We believe there is great importance in sharing, learning and highlighting these initiatives among our network.
One recent example of this is the "Ray of Light" Initiative - A philanthropic partnership seeking to support the development and implementation of short- and medium-term responses to the social, economic, and mental-health fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic, as Israel begins to exit the acute health-crisis phase.
Join us for this session with the six foundations who partnered on this initiative and are jointly managing this investment as a single entity: The Russell Berrie Foundation, Crown Family Philanthropies, The William Davidson Foundation, the Klarman Family Foundation, the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies, and Yad Hanadiv.
We will hear about the process that led to this collaboration. What was the strategy and which criteria for support did the foundations choose and why?
What critical fields arose during the mapping process; and why, at this present point in time, does philanthropy have a key role to play in the fields that the mapping identified?
