What if we are wrong about Purim? What if Purim is not the joyful holiday that we think it is, but a mordant exercise in self-criticism, a painful look at the mirror, a scathing self-deprecation designed to inspire shame rather than glee?
JFN stands in solidarity with the ADL, schools, JCCs, and other Jewish institutions across the country as they face a wave of bomb threats. We stand with the Jewish communities of St. Louis and Philadelphia in the wake of vandalous cemetery desecrations. This wave of antisemitism, directed at these parts of the American and global Jewish community, threatens and dismays the whole of the community. We stand ready to work with these and other communities to ensure that this wave of threats and destruction will not impede the rights, safety, lives, or work of our people and institutions.
