Sikkuy Seminar: New Strategies for Arab-Jewish Equality in Israel

Sunday, April 29, 2018, 9:00am – 4:00pm EDT
54 W 40th St
New York, NY 10018
United States

JFN Members and friends are invited to a Sikkuy Seminar co-sponsored by UJA-Federation of NY, The Social Venture Fund for Jewish-Arab Equality and Shared Society, and Sikkuy.

Sikkuy: The Association for the Advancement of Civic Equality is a shared organization of  Jewish and Arab citizens of Israel. It seeks to implement full equality between Jews and Arabs in government budgets, resource allocation, hiring policy, land usage, transportation and education. It has been particularly effective, working with various government ministries, in delineating roadblocks to equal treatment.

The day has been designed to deal with issues that often do not receive full discussion, such as:

  • Confusing signals from the Israeli Government with respect to its Arab minority

  • The possible shape and characteristics of Shared Society in Israel

  • The Role of Philanthropy
