JFN Member Sponsorship Opportunities
2021 Events

Jewish Funders Network offers an exceptional suite of high-visibility events in 2021 that members can support to promote their own brand, advance their principal philanthropic interests, or showcase their leadership in the donor community.

JFN typically invites members to sponsor its spring conference, the premier gathering for private Jewish philanthropy that brings together more than 500 major donors from around the world, along with their program staff, for three days of learning and networking. But 2021 is no typical year. JFN and Jewish Teen Funders Network are organizing at least five tentpole events over the year. Members have the option to sponsor the March conference, but can also upgrade their grant to become an Angel Sponsor, gaining benefits and recognition across all tentpole events.

As a sponsor of the JFN/JTFN 2021 events, you will position yourself as a leader within our community of funders. You can host events, brand conference items, or develop creative options to promote your philanthropic goals and grantee organizations. While the format of most events will be online, the visibility will be strong and the technology allows for new and creative opportunities.

Below you’ll find event concepts and detailed benefits offerings for the JFN Virtual Conference and JTFN Virtual Summit, as well as descriptions of the other tentpole events now being planned. If you have any questions, please contact JFN Vice President of Programs David Ezer at [email protected].

Tentpole Event #1

JFN 2021 Virtual Conference
STRONG BONDS: The Elements That Energize Jewish Philanthropy
Monday, March 15 – Wednesday, March 17

A truism in conference planning is that the best part of the event is what happens in the hallways between sessions. JFN is combining technology and design to bring that experience to the virtual space.

Far from a frontal set of lectures or panels, the three days of JFN’s virtual conference prioritize the serendipity of a live event—the chance to see everyone present and meet up in small groups for discussion around shared personal and professional interests. Our easy-to-use platform allows members to engage around topics we care about, to find new friends and strengthen existing relationships, to learn from one another, and simply to kibitz.

To be sure, we’ll have high-quality featured programming: Our keynote speaker, Dr. Larry Brilliant, in a dynamic conversation with Laura Lauder, brings decades of expertise in the philanthropic, technology, and healthcare sectors from a wide-ranging career that has included helping wipe out smallpox and founding Google’s charitable arm. A moot court convenes Jewish college students to argue a case about a “cancel culture” issue before celebrity judges, with the viewing audience serving as jury. A virtual town hall convenes on the theme of community and uses a unique data-visualization tool to see how the JFN audience feels about key questions. American-Israeli writer and analyst Yossi Klein Halevi appears “after hours” in the virtual bar for a freewheeling conversation on the most pressing challenges facing our people and communities today.

Between sessions — or even during — participants can hang out in The Lab, our platform that drives peer-to-peer connection around shared interests or other points of commonality.

Through facilitated group meetings, skill-building workshops, and a user-friendly networking hub, this virtual conference is a step above the usual, and will create a warm and engaging atmosphere for JFN’s dynamic community of philanthropists to dive deeply into issues, explore ideas, share challenges, and engage deeply with one another.

Tentpole Event #2
Jewish Teen Funders Network Virtual Summit
March 17 – 18

Jewish youth philanthropy is a collective grantmaking experience, enabling participants to learn deeply about their communities, examine their relationships to Jewish values, make strategic decisions, and ultimately allocate resources that will enrich people’s lives. Through this first-hand experience of tzedakah (righteous giving), young people put their values into action, and model a foundational practice of the Jewish people. They become sophisticated philanthropists in their own right, acquiring leadership skills that equip them to be agents of civic and social change.

The Jewish Teen Funders Network (JTFN) is the leading resource for Jewish youth philanthropy. We drive innovation in philanthropy education by creating tools, curricula and trainings for professionals and organizations to deliver high-quality experiences that empower youth to fund real change. JTFN works with talented educators and professionals running youth philanthropy programs in a variety of settings (Federations, schools, synagogues, community centers, foundations, camps and more) so that they can more effectively guide participants on a journey of Jewish grantmaking, identity-building, and leadership development.

The JTFN SUMMIT, is our biennial, multi-day conference for Jewish teen educators, lay leaders and Jewish organizational professionals who work to engage the next generation of changemakers. This year our conference will be virtual, taking place on March 17th – 18th 2021. It will include specially-designed sessions for leaders of Jewish youth philanthropy programs, as well as for Jewish educators, professionals, and lay leaders in the field and beyond. There will also be a focus this year on online methodologies, community-building and connection. We will network, learn from one another, innovate, share resources, and grow our knowledge in Jewish youth philanthropy.

Level up your sponsor recognition at JFN by also sponsoring The JTFN Summit.

By strengthening the training, curriculum, resources and face-to-face opportunities that JTFN offers the network, educators and professionals in the field gain tools and skills so that they can be more impactful in guiding the teens in their program through a journey of Jewish identity, leadership and grantmaking.
