Foundations are moving towards data-driven forms of measurement to evaluate the programs and organizations they support. Foundations have increased their efforts to assess performance with respect to the organizations, fields and communities they serve. This Center for Effective Philanthropy study finds that while foundation CEOs do place importance on assessing their foundations’ effectiveness, they feel they can improve.
