JFN began a three-part webinar series that looks at Jewish texts to see how they inform our views on Jewish giving and do a deep dive into the texts to reflect on what they say about philanthropy, especially the responsibilities inherent in Jewish giving. Some of these texts are centuries old, but have ideas that can be applied today.
The first session, on Nov. 17, “Between Philanthropy and Kindness: Judaism's Two Paths to Generosity,” featured Rabbi Shai Held, co-founder, Dean, Chair of Jewish Thought at Mechon Hadar.
