Even before the war, residents of the northern envelope faced a variety of problems and challenges that characterize geographic peripheries. As of 7/10, the situation worsened significantly. With the outbreak of the war, about 60,000 people were evacuated by the Israeli government from the northern envelope. The residents face an existential and economic challenge, a security threat and tangible danger on the other side of the border. The evacuees, as well as thousands who left voluntarily, see no horizon for returning home. This Zoom session will provide an initial acquaintance with the challenges of the northern envelope, the opportunities and possibilities for rehabilitating and developing the region. Program: - Philanthropic actions from routine to emergency
- A security snapshot of the North
- A snapshot of the Northern envelope- State response
- Challenges of evacuated residents, building resilience and preparedness for the day after
- Health challenges in times of emergency
- The Business challenge
