Due to the current climate of civil unrest and the continued impact of Covid-19, leading Jewish organizations and Jewish communities throughout the United States are developing new and innovative approaches to community security.
In this session, funders will learn about work being done on the national level to secure Jewish institutions and virtual communities. This includes an example of successful lobbying that led to a dramatic increase in government funding and a case study from New York, where philanthropists have invested in a serious upgrade of the community security infrastructure. Finally, we will discuss how to harness the energy of volunteers interested in protecting their communities.
Speakers:
Carly Maisel Global CEO Kirsh Philanthropies
Mitchell D. Silber Executive Director Community Security Initiative
Richard Priem Deputy National Director CSS
Steven Hughes Chief Security Officer Elliott Management Corporation
Brad Orsini Senior National Security Advisor Secure Community Network Jewish Federations of North America
