In this eye-opening session, we will delve into the invaluable work of the 140 US Jewish human service agencies responding to the crisis in Israel, and the spike of antisemitic attacks across the United States. Join us for a meeting that aims to transform awareness into action.

During this engaging session, we'll be in discussion about:

  • Supporting Fleeing Israelis: Learn how agencies are helping to support Israelis who have fled to the US. Technically, arriving as tourists, they are not eligible for any government-sponsored assistance or employment.
  • Front Lines: Hear how agencies have been on the front lines responding to a growing and diverse range of crises from antisemitic attacks on campus to mass shootings like in Pittsburgh, PA, and Highland Park, IL.
  • Mental Health: Agencies provide niche mental health and community support for holocaust survivors who both struggle with food and housing insecurity and reliving the trauma of another attack on Jews after Oct 7th.
  • A Warm Phone Line: Who can communities call when their student's or member's mental health is impacted? Human service agencies show up with both immediate support and a warm heart.
  • Every Day Supports: Learn how on top of being on the front lines, agencies provide over 20 other basic needs services from job training to food to holocaust survivor assistance.
  • Action: Connect with the urgent need for action and ongoing support in your community. Learn how you can make a difference in the lives of the 20% of Jews who are managing the mental health impacts.
