Join Knight Foundation President Alberto Ibargüen and his senior team to learn about their investment strategies and how their work is addressing the proliferation of hate, antisemitism, and misinformation, and inspiring inclusive and equitable communities
across the United States.
In the 20th century, Jack and Jim Knight built and ran one of the most
successful newspaper companies in America. Today, with the intent of “meeting the information needs of communities so that the people might determine their own true interests,” the Knight Foundation is
the largest investor in journalism and information research, and is a significant investor in the arts.
At this moment when Jews are critically aware of the power of news and information to shape public opinion, please join us to learn how the Knight Foundation thinks about effective funding in the contemporary news landscape. Panelists will discuss
the importance of local news, investment in research and scholarship, the role of the arts in informing and engaging communities, and the intersection of journalism and technology.
