JFN has been working to provide our members with the insights they need to be effectively engaged in efforts to strengthen and rebuild Israel. Through our "Israel's Turning Point" scenario planning groups, in myriad sessions at our
Conference in Tel Aviv in March, and in our ongoing programs around the globe, we have been learning from experts and from each other.
Now we're taking the opportunity to highlight some of the insights and perspectives we've gained on a range of key topics with a series of programs called "What's Next For Israel." The ripple effects of October 7th and the ongoing war is continuously affecting the mental health and resilience of citizens in Israel. In addition, the concerning rise of global antisemitism, has heightened mental health concerns of Jewish communities around the world. JFN will host Professor Ido Lurie, a leading expert in the Israeli mental health care system, for a unique overview of his research. He will share data and insights on the growing needs, related to gender, demographics and global statistics. His extensive work will shed light on the role of philanthropy and the necessary strategy aiming to understand the philanthropic role and strategy needed to be effective in the area of mental health and resilience. Prof. Lurie is a psychiatrist and a psychotherapist. He is the director of the adult clinic, Shalvata Mental Health Center, Clalit Health Service Fund, and the chair of the Israeli Community Mental Health Society of the Israeli Medical Association. In the second part of this session we will hear from our partners at PollyLabs, who will share the outcomes of the scenario planning group process on mental health developed with JFN members, and the possible future scenarios emerging in the field of mental health in Israel.
