We are living through trying times. In the weeks before this month's U.S. election, a survey from the American Psychological Association found that concern about the future of the nation was a "significant source of stress" for 77% of Americans. Jews in Israel and around the world are facing deeply challenging and uncertain situations, with escalating threats and hostility impacting our communities globally. For our November meeting, rather than focusing on an outside speaker, JFN's Mindfulness & Mental Health Peer Network invites you to gather as a community of funders and grantmaking professionals. We'll open space for discussing how the challenges of the current moment are both shaping our work and impacting us personally. We’ll consider how we might use this Peer Network to support ourselves and share resources with each other. And we’ll offer an opportunity to explore how mindfulness practice might enable us to manage ourselves and our urgent work with less stress, more clarity and equanimity. Come as you are, wherever you happen to be located: bring your breakfast or your lunch or call in from your commute home -- we'll be glad to see you. Facilitators: Marvin Israelow, JFN Member and Institute for Jewish Spirituality Board Member Dr. Beth Cooper Benjamin, Director of Programs and Peer Networks, JFN Rabbi Josh Feigelson, PhD, President and CEO of the Institute for Jewish Spirituality and host of the podcast Soulful Jewish Living: Mindful Practices for Every Day, will join us to lead a mindfulness practice at this session
