This program will be in Hebrew. In the solemn period between Holocaust Remembrance Day and Yom HaZikaron—heightened by the profound impact of October 7th and the ongoing war — we invite you to a special program designed to explore the power of remembrance and how personal legacies can inspire meaningful social impact. Join us for an intimate conversation at the Peres Center in Tel Aviv with those who have chosen to transform personal loss into a living legacy. Together, we will reflect on how private commemoration can foster individual and communal resilience, how the personal intertwines with the national and explore the role of philanthropy in creating transformative legacies with lasting impacts. Speakers: Shira Shapira – Deputy Director General, Ministry of Heritage, and mother of Aner Shapira z”l, who was murdered while saving lives at the Nova music festival. Idan Magidish – Founder of Growth from Crisis, an accelerator for initiatives born out of personal and national trauma. Hila Shai– Founder of Next October, connecting bereaved families with startups to build meaningful legacies. Members of our network– Sharing their personal and family journeys in shaping their own legacies. Join us for a deep and hopeful conversation about remembrance, legacy, and the transformative power of meaning.
