The State of Jewish Human Services and Affordability of Jewish Life in Denver and Beyond Join JFN West and TEN: Together Ending Need for a unique conversation about Jewish economic vulnerability. New data shows that 29% of Jews in the US are struggling or just barely making ends meet. Our communities rely on essential safety nets like Jewish Family Services and Jewish Interest Free Loan. Learn how funders are responding to the essential needs of our community and beyond, especially with federal policy and funding changes. This gathering is ideal for funders interested in the accessibility of Jewish life, social services, mental health, or economic security. We'll be joined by philanthropic leaders, Jon Hornstein, who oversees all U.S. Jewish giving at The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, and Rabbi Rebecca Sirbu, Executive Vice President at Jewish Funders Network.
What to expect:
- Heavy apps, light drinks, and social time to connect at Marty and Shira's beautiful home
- A presentation on eye-opening local data and new national data on Jewish life
- Learning and sharing amongst funders about how they are responding to the moment
This gathering will be facilitated by Rachel Sumekh, leader of TEN: Together Ending Need, a partnership of JFN and the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation. It will include insights from local and national funders. You’ll also have the chance to meet philanthropic peers visiting from across the country who are in town for the Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies Conference the next day.
