Challenging Antisemitism Through K-12 Education

Thursday, January 8, 2026

Thursday, January 15, 2026 | Zoom
12:00pm ET | 9:00am PT | 7:00pm IT

Across K–12 education, students are encountering misinformation, distorted narratives, and gaps in understanding about Jews and Judaism. Educators and school systems lack the tools, training, or confidence to address these challenges in ways that are effective and sustainable.

Join us to examine strategies that strengthen curricula, improve educator preparedness, and shape learning environments that are informed, inclusive, and better equipped to counter antisemitism wherever it appears. Informed by a growing body of new research, we will see how funders and educators can prevent and undermine antisemitism through stronger Jewish literacy and more thoughtful education about Jews.

Speakers:

  • Alyssa Arens, Portfolio Manager, Antisemitism at One8 Foundation
  • Dr. Benjamin Jacobs, Co-Director, The Collaboratory: A Center for Jewish Education and Associate Research Professor at The George Washington University
  • Dr. Susan Kardos, CEO, Institute for Curriculum Services
  • Jackie Congedo, CEO, the Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center

What Jewish College Students Need
Findings from the Hillel's Student Discovery Research

Tuesday, January 27, 2026 | Zoom
2:00pm ET | 11:00am PT | 9:00pm IT

To address the complex world students face post-COVID and October 7th, Hillel International led a Student Discovery Research Initiative, supported by Common Era of the Jim Joseph Foundation, TEN: Together Ending Need, and The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation. This research provides an essential look at who students are today, the challenges they face, and what they need from Jewish life on campus.

In this webinar, TEN and Hillel International will share key findings on student identity and needs, with a major focus on a critical discovery: 27% of Jewish students are currently experiencing financial vulnerability. Designed specifically for funders, this conversation offers a clearer view of today’s student reality and the levers for meaningful response.

Speakers:

  • Rachel Sumekh, Executive Director, TEN: Together Ending Need
  • Shari Merrill, Chief Operating Officer, Hillel International
  • Naomi Polinsky, Senior Director of Research, Hillel International

In this week’s installment of Foundations in Focus, JFN Consulting Senior Managing Director Yossi Prager focuses on the real-world situations grant agreements need to anticipate. Drawing on common challenges funders face, he examines how grant agreements can help navigate uncertainty, protect funder intent, and support sound decision-making over time.
