| | | | | | | | | | JFN Devastated by Violent Attack in Washington, D.C. We are devastated by the horrific murder of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, two young Israeli Embassy staffers who were fatally shot outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C. last night. Their lives were taken in an act of antisemitic violence that has shaken our community. Yaron and Sarah were a devoted couple on the verge of engagement. Their commitment to building bridges to and fostering understanding of Israeli life was emblematic of the values we hold dear. This senseless act of hatred is a stark reminder of the rising tide of antisemitism and the urgent need for vigilance, unity, and action. We stand in solidarity with the families of Yaron and Sarah, the staff of the Israeli Embassy, and all who are mourning this profound loss. May their memories be a blessing. | | | | |
| | | | | | | This week, 49 funders and philanthropic professionals gathered at JFN’s Israel office for the opening session of the new Northern Foundations Forum. The forum, initiated with the support of Beyachad — The Stella and Yoel Carasso Family Foundation, The Russell Berrie Foundation, The Ronald S. Roadburg Foundation, and Crown Family Philanthropies, aims to strengthen knowledge-sharing/peer learning and coordination, and strategic investment in Israel’s northern region. Participants discussed their investments and their challenges, and engaged in an in-depth briefing with Li-at Cohen, Deputy Director General for Planning and Strategy at the “Tnufa for the Revival of the North” Implementation Headquarters, on government recovery efforts and upcoming strategic plans for the North. For more information and to get involved, contact Anat Danis, Forum Director. | | | | |
