Jewish Ritual Art and Material Culture

Following our recent virtual program on the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Judaica Initiative, JFN members and guests were treated to a private tour of the Met: Jewish Ritual Art and Material Culture. Led by Dr. Riva Arnold, Research Associate of Judaica in the Department of European Sculpture and Decorative Arts, the tour shared highlights from the Met's collection and stories from a hundred years of acquisition. Ruth Suzman, JFN Member and Member of the Met's Visiting Committee of European Sculpture and Decorative Arts, offered insights from her own philanthropic involvement with the Judaica Initiative.
