In 2023, with the generous support of the Jim Joseph Foundation, Diane and Guilford Glazer Foundation, DARE Foundation, and Marcia Riklis Foundation, JFN launched a two-year initiative that provided complimentary premium access to Impala for all JFN members and their grantees.
Impala has built a state-of-the-art data platform that empowers philanthropy to achieve greater impact by transforming how foundations and nonprofits use data to make smarter, more informed decisions. Through this partnership, members gained access to Impala’s Philanthropy Database of nonprofits and foundations, and its Ecosystems Research tool to analyze geo-based and cause-based sectors. Both designed to support more efficient and strategic grantmaking.
While that funded period has now concluded, our partnership with Impala continues.
Over the past two years, engagement across the JFN community has been strong:
- 209 JFN members and 1,897 grantees have claimed profiles
- 3,629 JFN-affiliated users have onboarded
- More than 60% of these organizations were active on the platform in the last year
To continue benefiting from these tools and insights, we encourage you to connect directly with the Impala team to explore ongoing access options tailored for JFN members.
As part of our continuing partnership, Impala is offering exclusive member discounts:
- 25% off all premium products before and during the JFN 2026 International Conference
- 15% off after the conference

We hope you’ll continue to leverage Impala as part of your grantmaking workflow and build on the momentum already underway.
